Student Accommodation, South Wales – Lift Modernisation
Elserv carried out a full modernisation of a passenger lift in a student accommodation block at one of the Universities in South Wales. Elserv were principal Contractor and were responsible for all lift works, electrical works, builders works and enabling works throughout the project.
The project involved the replacement of the complete control system, machine, door equipment, safety gear, overspeed governor and full rewire as can be seen in the pictures. The dated lift was brought fully up to current standards.
The project was completed during the summer shutdown and returned to service in time for the students return in September. All works were completed on budget and to our clients satisfaction.
